Obituary for Bryan L. Dixon

CHESAPEAKE – Bryan Lee Dixon, 51, of the 2200 block of Tennessee Dr. passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1967 in Portsmouth to the late James O., Sr. and Helen Dixon; and was a 1985 graduate of Deep Creek High School. Bryan was a machinist supervisor at MDT, Inc. in Chesapeake; and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors.

He is survived by his only daughter and love of his life, Kayla Dixon and her fiancé, Adam Minnick; his former wife, Barbara Allred-Dixon; three sisters, Linda Wyman, Deann Bickmore and Carla O’Hara; two brothers, James O. Dixon, Jr. and Wayne Dixon; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 11, 2018 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7 – 8:30 PM.
